The complete guide
How to choose a women's probiotic gummy
Probiotic gummies vary a lot from brand to brand. Before you buy any of them, ours included, these are the things worth checking on the label and on the store page.
The strains are named on the label
A good label lists each probiotic strain by its full name, not just "probiotic blend". That lets you, or your pharmacist, look them up and compare one product with another.
The amount is stated per serving
Probiotic amounts are given in CFU, which stands for colony forming units. Check that the label states the amount per serving and how many gummies make up a serving. For our gummies a serving is two gummies.
Work out the cost per day
A pouch price on its own does not tell you much. Our pouch holds 60 gummies at two a day, so it lasts 30 days. At £39 that comes to about £1.30 a day, with free delivery.
Gummy or capsule?
Some people find a chewable gummy easier to take every day than a large capsule. Gummies usually contain some sugar or sweetener, so check the nutrition panel if you watch your sugar intake.
Storage
Check whether a product needs to go in the fridge. Ours does not. Keep the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place out of direct sun, and check the best-before date on the pack.
Buy from a store that stands behind it
Look for tracked delivery, a clear refund policy and a real person you can contact. We dispatch within 2 working days, delivery is free across the UK, and every order has a 14-day money-back guarantee.
When to talk to a doctor or pharmacist
A supplement does not replace medical care. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before you start if you:
- have symptoms you are worried about, or think you may have an infection
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have an immune-system condition
- take prescription medicines
Read the full label before use and follow the directions on the pack.
